Monica Vialpando, Ph.D.

Dr. Monica Vialpando is the founder and CEO of Via Innovations, a provider of industry-leading formulation and product innovation and development services for global cannabis companies. Leveraging her background as a pharmaceutical development scientist, she has strongly advocated to improve the quality, safety, and efficacy of cannabis products. She was recently listed as ‘Top 100 Heathcare Leaders’ by the International Forum on Advancements in Healthcare and is the 2019 ElSohly Award recipient for Excellence in Cannabis Chemistry. Beyond her entrepreneurship, she influences the development of the cannabis industry on several levels. She serves as a scientific advisor to multiple companies, is a frequent invited speaker at international conferences, and is an adjunct professor at Loyalist College, Canada, where she is helping to develop the next generation of cannabis scientists.
